Welcome to Woodland Counselling
for Couples and Individuals
Hi there, I'm Liz and I'd like to welcome you to my practice, Woodland Counselling. Please feel invited to use the information on my website to help answer any questions you might have about working with me, such as the Fees and Services that I provide, how to Contact me, and a little bit About Me as a counsellor and psychotherapist.
I have trained as an integrative counsellor, which essentially means I am equipped to adapt my practice to meet your needs through having core training in CBT. Psychodynamic, Existential and Humanistic therapies. I work with the belief that therapy can help us evolve from surviving to thriving. I became a counsellor for many reasons, but fundamentally because of the powerful way in which counselling can help you take back control of your life story; tomorrow does not have to be like yesterday. In therapy, it is possible to find a way through your experiences, unlearn beliefs that no longer serve you and re-gain, or perhaps create, that sense of you; a you that is more than what you've been through.
Beyond my initial counselling training, I have also gained specialist training in working with couples and apply the very same belief; that you can change the dance between you and co create a relationship that works. I do not place judgement on religion, culture and sexuality.
